Emma's 3 Year Birthday Party

Last weekend, Dustin & I went to GA for our niece Emma's 3 year birthday party. The party was a Mermaid themed swim party in her backyard. The cards for the party were handmade by her mom Christy and so cute. I need to take a picture of it and post. I didn't take any pictures over the weekend so I borrowed some from Christy. Emma has the cutest cake I have seen. Too bad the bakery is so far away from our house!

Emma enjoyed swimming with her friends. It was funny because about an hour into the party she asked "When is the party going to start?" I guess she didn't think it had started yet since she hadn't eaten cake or opened her presents. She got a ton of great gifts that were all PINK. Dustin & I got her a High School musical doll (that looks like Barbie) in a pink convertible mustang.

Will & Walker are getting so big. Christy and Brandon sure do have their hands full! But, they do have 3 of the sweetest and cutest kids ever (I'm not biased) ;)

Emma thinks it's funny when I call Dustin a baldie. Well, the next day after we were joking calling him a baldie she said "Dustin, why don't you have any hair". He said, "I guess God thought I looked better without it" to which Emma replied "You need to go get some hair", LOL!

What I'm currently drooling over....

I may have to splurge! My mom bought me the Cool Girls purse a couple of years ago and I loved it and got so many compliments on it. Now, they have a whole luggage set, oh my!!!

I made my first QVC purchase in about 6 monthes yesterday. Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner. It's supposed to stay on and not smudge. I always have the racoon eyes by the end of the day when I wear eyeliner. The nice thing about QVC is I can try it out over a few days and if I don't like it, I can return it and get my money back if it hasn't been 30 days.

If your looking for an awesome salad dressing, a co-worker recently introduced me to Newman's Own Lighten Up Balsamic Vinaigrette, so yummy and not too bad for the waistline.

I know it's been awhile since I posted. We have done a lot the past few weekends and I will try to catch you up on what we have been doing over this week. Our photographer mailed us our wedding album from Italy. I didn't like it at first but it's growing on me. Dustin loved it and thinks I'm just too picky which is probably true. We don't own the copyrights to our photos but I am purchasing the rights to a few of our favorites. This is one of my fav's that the photographer has said I can use online.

4th of July

Dustin & I had a great 4th of July last weekend. We drove up to Helen, GA and rented a cabin with my friend Josie and her husband Frank. It was really pretty up there and relaxing. I enjoyed the hot tub. Dustin tried grilling out some burgers and they were really good! I have not been able to see his "grilling skills" in action so I was happy he knows what to do. Once we have a house, I plan on letting him grill for us quite a bit.

While in Helen, we hiked up to Anna Ruby Falls. It's a huge waterfall that's only about a 1/2 mile hike up. It was really pretty. I have pic's I will post tonight.

We also went tubing down the river. I loved it! I've been tubing on the Guadalupe but no where else. There were a few times I got hung up on rocks but it was still enjoyable. Dustin got overturned in his tube a few times.

In other news, Dustin's glasses came in. He has never worn glasses or contacts so this is a new experience for him. He said "I feel like I'm living in hi-def" because he can now actually SEE! I don't know how he made it this long. I've heard men are heathlier after they get married and I agree. He would have never gone to the eye dr if I hadn't been hounding him about it!

This is my excuse for gaining weight since moving to Alabama. I guess my body just knew it needed to be fatter living here, LOL :)

I guess we need to move to Colorado to be skinny.
